Terms of Service
Terms governing dispatch requests, on-site diagnostics, and plumbing service agreements through Water Heater Plumbing.
Effective Date: January 1, 2026
Last Updated: March 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
Please review these Terms of Service ("Terms," "Agreement") carefully before using the website https://waterheaterplumbing.com or placing a telephone inquiry to our dispatch desk at 877-405-0190. By accessing our website, submitting an online contact request, or requesting technician dispatch, you agree to be legally bound by all terms, conditions, and disclaimers contained herein.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must discontinue use of our website and refrain from requesting services through our telephone dispatch network.
2. Description of Services & Dispatch Network Model
Water Heater Plumbing operates a nationwide referral, marketing, and dispatch coordination network. Our platform connects property owners, commercial business managers, and residential tenants with independent, third-party plumbing professionals and licensed service contractors who perform on-site water heater repair, emergency leak isolation, heating element diagnostics, tankless descaling, sediment flushing, and equipment replacement.
Independent Contractor Relationship: Plumbing technicians, specialists, and contractors dispatched through our network operate as independent business entities. Water Heater Plumbing coordinates customer inquiries, symptom intake, and dispatch routing, but does not directly employ the field plumbers or own local plumbing trucks. The local contractor dispatched to your property is solely responsible for technical execution, local code compliance, permits, workmanship guarantees, and direct billing.
3. Emergency Guidance and Pre-Arrival Mitigation
When an active plumbing emergency or major water heater leak occurs, dispatch coordinators may suggest basic safety precautions over the telephone, such as:
- Locating and rotating the cold water shutoff valve above the water heater tank.
- Switching off the dedicated electrical circuit breaker supplying electric water heaters.
- Turning gas control valves to the "OFF" position if a pilot light has extinguished.
Such suggestions represent preliminary emergency mitigation advice only and do not replace comprehensive on-site mechanical evaluation. Property owners remain responsible for taking prudent steps to safeguard their premises against secondary water damage while awaiting technician arrival.
4. On-Site Diagnostics, Estimates, and Authorization
All plumbing repair and installation services are governed by upfront pricing standards:
- On-Site Evaluation: Upon arrival, the dispatched plumbing technician inspects the water heating equipment, evaluates circuit voltage, checks water line pressure, measures gas manifold draft, or inspects for tank fractures.
- Itemized Estimate: The technician presents an itemized written or digital estimate explaining the identified mechanical breakdown, necessary part replacements (such as thermocouples, thermostats, elements, or valves), labor costs, and project timeline.
- Customer Approval: No billable component replacement, system flush, or tank removal proceeds without your express authorization and agreement to the technician's proposed terms.
5. Customer Responsibilities & Workspace Safety
To enable safe and timely service, property owners and authorized representatives agree to:
- Provide Clear Access: Ensure unobstructed pathways to the water heater installation area, utility closets, basements, main water shutoff valves, and electrical service panels.
- Authorize Adult Presence: Ensure an adult individual (age 18 or older) with legal authority to approve repairs and payment remains on site throughout the service appointment.
- Safe Working Environment: Ensure the service location is free from hazardous gas accumulation, exposed electrical live wires, structural collapse hazards, aggressive animals, or biohazardous waste. Technicians retain full discretion to decline or pause work if on-site conditions present an imminent safety hazard.
6. Manufacturer Warranties and Workmanship Guarantees
Warranties on replacement components (including heating elements, gas control valves, pilot burner assemblies, and expansion tanks) and newly installed water heating tanks are provided directly by equipment manufacturers (such as Rheem, Bradford White, A. O. Smith, Rinnai, Navien, Bosch, and State Water Heaters) in accordance with their respective product specifications.
Workmanship warranties covering labor and installation craftsmanship are established and honored directly by the independent plumbing contractor performing the on-site service. Water Heater Plumbing does not manufacture plumbing hardware and disclaims independent product warranties beyond those provided by equipment manufacturers and local servicing contractors.
7. Payment Terms & Settlement
Payment terms for completed diagnostic and repair services are established directly between you and the dispatched plumbing contractor. Standard payment methods (credit cards, debit cards, cash, or verified electronic payment) are collected on site upon completion of authorized work. Failure to satisfy agreed-upon service invoices may result in suspension of future dispatch services or collection proceedings by the servicing contractor.
8. Cancellations and Rescheduling
We understand that unexpected schedule changes occur or that hot water issues may be resolved before a technician arrives. We request reasonable advance notice (at least two hours prior to the scheduled arrival window) by contacting 877-405-0190 so dispatch coordinators can reroute on-call plumbers to pending emergency calls.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable state and federal law:
- Water Heater Plumbing, its parent organizations, affiliates, officers, and dispatch coordinators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our website, dispatch services, or work performed by independent local plumbing contractors.
- We disclaim liability for secondary property damage, water damage, mold growth, or floor warping resulting from pre-existing pipe corrosion, undetected tank fractures, delays in customer notification, or severe natural freezing events occurring prior to on-site service.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from the use of our website or referral services shall not exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for utilizing our dispatch coordination platform (excluding direct repair payments made to independent contractors).

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of our dispatch network shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, through binding individual arbitration or small claims court, waiving participation in class action lawsuits.
12. Severability and Complete Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by an arbitrator or court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. These Terms constitute the complete understanding between you and Water Heater Plumbing regarding your use of our website and dispatch coordination network.
